Coca-Cola Chicken Recipe
Hey Pals! Sorry it's been so long. I finished up university for the semester and moved apartments. Today I was really craving Chinese food. More specifically, I was craving my mom's take-out style Chinese food. You see folks, my mom is an amazing cook. Around the holidays, special occasions or even just on days where she's feeling up to the task, she makes her homemade Chinese food! I no longer live at home so I only get to experience it every so often (boo-wah!) One special dish she makes is Coca-Cola chicken wings. My younger sister Jill really loves them... She could seriously eat the whole baking dish and nothing else. (Sorry you weren't here this time, bugs!) so after a quick glance in my freezer, I decided I would make Coca-Cola chicken wings to solve my craving. But there was one problem.. I didn't have any chicken wings. Whomp Whomp. ): So I decided chicken breasts would have to do. This recipe is super easy, super sticky and super delicious. Let's assemble the ingredients:

What's not in in my bag?!
Have you ever had one of those days where you lifted your purse, and it weighed as much as a small child? Today was one of those days. I couldn't remember when was the last time I had properly cleaned out my purse (probably never), so I decided to sit down and clean it out. [Disclaimer: most of it snuck back into my bag.... oops!] I ow/carry a Fiorelli Mia Grab Bag. However while I was looking it up, I noticed that one the website there isn't one with a purple liner. It's identical to this one: here minus the little accessory that hangs off the front handle. Mine is exactly like the ones are featured on the Mia bags on Fiorelli's website. It's a minor detail, and I'm not that picky. The newer bags appear to have a smaller and less awkward little handle decoration thing than the purse in the pictures where the liner is the proper colour. Not sure why mine has the updated accessory but a different colour liner but I'm not complaining. It matches my wallet! I apologise if that made no sense... I don't speak purses and have no idea what else to call that thing!

What I really love about this purse is that it's small but super roomy. I also like that you have the option to carry it crossbody or just with the handles. I chose to carry my bag as a crossbody - mostly because if I had to carry it as a handbag I would set it down to look at something and forget it somewhere. True story, I do that with my phone on occasion. After going through my purse, I think I deserve an award for the most weirdest, most diverse items ever to be carried in a bag. I don't think I mentioned it before, but the little Belle you see is Disney Blind Bag 3-D Figural Key Ring which I found at a local comic book/toy store. I clipped her onto my purse in the car and forgot about her! She lives in my purse pocket most days because I keep forgetting to move her to my keys. Which reminds me: I've been meaning to get back there to try my luck at something better, like Winnie the Pooh or Mickey but I haven't gotten around to it. She's really cute though. Anyway, that's my keychain. Let's get started after the cut since this post was waaaay too long otherwise!

Skor Bit Cookies - Attempt #1 Recipe
Hey again pals! Let's talk about baking. When I'm bored, stressed or inspired I love to bake! Recently my boyfriend Alex has had an obsession with Skor Bars. They're a chocolate bar that's essentially butter toffee coated in chocolate. Personally, I think they're too hard and they make my teeth hurt but he could eat four in a row and not feel guilty. (Okay maybe not four but close!) He's been begging me to make a cookie with Hershey's Chipits Skor bits and I finally decided to bake them today. Basically, all I did was I used a chocolate chip cookie recipe from Betty Crocker and swapped out the chocolate for Skor Bits. So Clever.. I know!
1 Egg
1 cup Margarine (Softened)
1 TSP Vanilla Extract
1 TSP Baking Soda
1/2 TSP Salt
2 1/4 Cups All-Purpose Flour
3/4 Cup Sugar
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar (Packed)
1 Package of Hershey's Skor Bits

Per the recipe's instructions: Preheat your oven to 375ºF. In a large mixing bowl mix the white and brown sugars, the margarine, vanilla extract and the egg together. Next, add the flour, baking soda, and salt. When that's all done, mix in your Skor Bits (or Chocolate Chips). This is where I made my mistake... I didn't intend to use the whole bag as they're small and there's A LOT of them.. but they all fell in. Today was not my day I didn't want to spend ten minutes picking out Skor Bits, plus a lot of them had stuck to the dough which would have contaminated them (Food safety!) so I just went with it. The more the merrier right? Wrong.

But Meghan... How did they turn out?! Tada:

I should take a minute to point out my apartment has the world's finicky, most unreliable oven. Sometimes things cook/bake fine and other times not so much. In my oven at 375ºF, it took my cookies 8 1/2 minutes to bake. Another problem is the temperature - it's always too hot or not hot enough so it's a surprise every time! The cookies baked relatively okay. The tops were soft and the bottoms didn't burn. However, that being said, the poor cookies that had more than a few Skor Bits at the very bottom sort of stuck to the pan. Ooops! I forgot to account for the potential of melting toffee. It becomes a sticky, oozy mess and I had to fight to get some of them from the tray. They're still completely edible buuuuut they aren't that pretty. It's a good thing Alex isn't that picky! Personally, I give myself an E for effort. But for attempt #2 I think I'll pay more attention to how much I dump in so they don't stick so much. Let me know if you give the recipe a try. Hopefully, you have better luck than I did! I had Alex judge them and he says he really likes them so hopefully you do too!

Thanks for taking the time to read and I'll see you in the next post!

The "Get To Know Me" Tag!
Hey there! I found this tag on Meganhasocd and thought I would do it myself as a little introduction! Sorry in advance if some of the answers are reaaaally long.. I ramble sometimes. Click "Read More" to view all of the questions! Without further ado, let's get started!

1. What is your middle name?

My middle name is Danielle - hence Maggie Danielle.

2. What was your favourite subject at school?

Music. Always music. My school offered vocals as a course and being a singer I really enjoyed it.

3. What is your favourite drink?

Pepsi! But I can't have normal Pepsi because caffeine upsets my stomach so I either drink Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi or Caffeine Free Pepsi (You can't find it around here where I live so whenever a relative or friend goes to the states I ask them to bring me back some)

4. What is your favourite song at the moment?

I've been really enjoying Panic at The Disco's new Album Death of a Bachelor so I would have to say probably Victorious or Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time. I've also kept Adventure Of A Lifetime and Hymn For the Weekend off of Coldplay's Head Full of Dreams album on repeat. Who am I kidding... I can't pick just one.

L'Oreal VoxBox Review!
Hey pals! I was fortunate enough to receive Influenster's Voxbox! If you've never heard of a Voxbox, no worries! Here's a little blurb about Influenster from the company themselves:
VoxBoxes are packages filled with complimentary products from your favorite (or soon-to-be-favorite) brands. Not all Voxboxes are created equal: some campaigns feature an assortment of products while others will spotlight one awesome brand. But make no mistake: all VoxBoxes are created equally awesome.

Here's how it works: Throughout many of our ongoing campaigns, Influensters receive FREE themed product shipments based on information disclosed by answering Snaps, their measured Social Impact across all connected networks, demographics, and, well, good old fashioned luck. Did you forget to connect your social media accounts or share any information with us? Then no wonder we haven't been able to match you with a box yet -- we're practically strangers!"
I was lucky enough to be chosen for the L'Oreal Extraordinary Oils VoxBox. This collection of products has Six oils! It contains Argan Oil, Sunflower Oil, Amla Oil, Soy Oil, Coconut Oil and Chamomile Oil! That's a lot of oils let me tell you. At first, I thought that my normally poor dry but oily hair didn't stand a chance against such a formula but boy was I wrong. First, let's talk about the shampoo and conditioner combo. They smell amazing and the packaging is nice! I'm a huge klutz so having a product that's not awkwardly shaped makes my toes extremely happy because that means fewer shampoo bottles fall on them. I'm looking at you Aussie! I've used this shampoo three to four times a week and I've noticed my hair is a lot more nourished! My hair tends to be dry near the ends. That's probably from a nasty combination of heat and going waaaaay too long without a trim but that's another story. Whereas my roots tend to be greasy at times - I've become far too familiar with dry shampoo. I was really surprised that a shampoo with as many oils as it contains not only helped - but didn't make my roots worse with daily usage. The conditioner is great as well and really helped my dry ends when I concentrated more product on them. Over all, I've been extremely satisfied with this shampoo + conditioner!

Let's talk about the hair mask next. This mask is pretty awesome as it says right on the container that it's safe for everyday use. I tend to use it when I have more time, however, as it does require five minutes or so to soak in. I really enjoyed this mask as well - and when paired with the shampoo it made my hair so soft I couldn't stop petting it. I'm not kidding. The only thing that irks me is it doesn't quite smell like the shampoo and conditioner. Don't get me wrong, it's not a horrible smell! It's just not as good as the shampoo, that's all!

All and all, I think this is a fantastic line of products. While browsing my local grocery store I did find a few other products in the line not included in my VoxBox. I think there may have been a dry oil spray at this location. Looking online there appears to be an oil serum and a leave in conditioner treatment as well! I'd highly recommend this product and if you're looking for a new shampoo BFF - I think this might be it.

[ I just wanted to take a minute to stress that I was provided with these products for free through Influenster! However, these opinions are completely my own. Just because I may have disliked the product doesn't mean it won't work for you and I highly encourage you to give it a try for yourself! ]

Thanks for taking the time to read my review, and see you in the next post!

My favourite teas! (DavidsTea Edition)
It's no secret that I'm a huge tea-a-holic. I could drink tea all day and be perfectly content. I'm more of a loose leaf tea kinda girl myself. I've never really been a fan of the blends you can find in the grocery store. The exception to that would be Sleepytime Vanilla by Celestial Seasonings, and maybe occasionally a lemon ginger blend by Lipton. Personally, I like the variety offered at places such as Davidstea. My tea collection is slowly outgrowing its current home - so I thought I'd make a post on some of my favourites.

First of all, let us start with Mighty Aphrodite. You can find it on DavidsTea's website here! Mighty Aphrodite is a delicate organic herbal/fruit blend of Raspberry leaves and apple. It also has lemon balm, rosehip and, of course, raspberries. It's got a light fruit taste that isn't too tart or too sweet. I once had a love affair with Lemon Iced Tea. Since I cannot have large amounts of caffeine anymore I've turned to Herbal and Rooibos teas to fill my iced tea addiction. Therefore, I prefer my Might Aphrodite iced with some agave but it's also equally as great warm. I've even heard it's good for monthly lady problems and overall, I find it a huge comfort tea. It's also a super light and fluffy tea. So 50g of tea goes a long way. This tea is a must try on your next trip to DavidsTea, I promise you won't be disappointed!

Next up is an interesting choice, to say the least. Movie Night I was really skeptical to try this one at first but alas, I quickly fell in love with it. Movie Night is a sweet green tea blend with apple, green tea and, of course, some popped corn. You might be thinking... Popcorn? In Tea? It totally works, though! It's got notes of maple and the sweetness from the apple really adds to the blend, the popcorn is very subtle. The only thing I dislike about this one is more of a general dilemma with all green teas. Green teas are very picky about temperature. When the water is too hot it starts to taste bitter and nobody likes that ): Fancy kettles tempt me with their fancy water temperature control settings however, I just let the water cool a little before sticking my tea into it. It tends to work well and I hardly have bitter tea. It's only when I'm in a rush or when I simply forget it's a green tea blend that I run into some trouble. Oops! If you're looking for something a little more out of the box - I'd pick up a sample bag (50g or less) of this guy. You can find (and order!) it online here!

Lastly, I have a classic in my opinion. Cinnamon Rooibos Chai is a Rooibos tea blend that is also naturally caffeine free! It's a breath freshening blend of cinnamon, rooibos and apples. It's really good made into a tea latte or if I'm feeling very lazy - all by itself. I could only find this little container to show you because my tea cubby is super unorganized. Did I receive this little fella in a 8? 12? tea sample kit for Christmas. I really enjoy spicy teas and this is right on the mark for that. It's super cinnamony so if you're not a huge fan of cinnamon I would stay away - or not - your decision. Some say it's like a non-alcoholic Fireball whisky but I've never had that to know for sure. here!

I also want to take a quick second to add in that DavidsTea's Steeper + Perfect Spoon are super awesome and if you haven't seen one in use before - as for a demo in store! It's super easy to use and even easier to clean out. The spoon allows perfect measurement for the perfect cup (or cups) every time! Also a quick shout out to my twin sister Mikayla for picking out the most perfect mug for Christmas. It's the most adorable Michelle Tanner mug (Which I couldn't find online to link to, unfortunately). I also just got a couple of teas (Okay... four someone stop me) from Teavana that I cannot wait to try so stay tuned for that! Cheers!

Thanks for taking the time to read and I'll see you in the next post!

Lorem Ipsum - Tina Belcher (Bob's Burgers) Style
Ignore this post.. or don't.. Whatever floats your boat! This post will eventually magically transform itself into a howdy-welcome-hello-whatever post but for now I shall leave you with the best sort of Lorem Ipsum. It's extra sassy just a FYI. Cheers!

Hi boys. I'm Tina. A pants-off. For me? If I drunk text you and you're asleep, don't text me in the morning…that ship has sailed. Your ass is grass and I'm gonna mow it. Tina reached towards Jimmy Junior's butt: 'Your lips say no but your butt says yes.' This is where I thrash. I'm a smart, strong, sensual woman. I'm torn. Dad raised me, but the shark gets me. If we see any mermaids, I'm gonna ask them where their merginas are. I'm out of control. There's someone behind the milk. Maybe it's the dairy fairy. I texted back a smiley face. She texted back some letters I don't understand. My crotch is itchy. I guess she doesn't like wearing clothes. I didn't know our county was bi. Good for us.

Our toaster is also confused. It doesn't know where bagels go. Explore the morgue? My crotch is itchy. If I were a hamburger you'd come and watch! Everyone touched each other's butts, and it was great. If we see any mermaids, I'm gonna ask them where their merginas are. Hey, you don't want to mess with my sister. She'll wear down your self esteem over a period of years. Sausage leather belts. Gene, you saved us. I owe you my life. YOU GORGEOUS IDIOT! Your ass is grass and I'm gonna mow it. I had no idea there was so much butt touching in baseball. Dad, I need you to drop everything and shave my legs. You're right. I'm a firestarter and a jinx. I'm going to destroy this whole family.

I'm torn. Dad raised me, but the shark gets me. Dad, you're the best pimp a girl could ever have. Ugg, my heart just pooped its pants. I could go to jail, or hell, or jail-hell. I'm a smart, strong, sensual woman. If you need me, I'll be down here on the floor. Dying. I'm no hero. I just put my bra on one boob at a time. If I were a hamburger you'd come and watch! Here's a bunch of numbers. They may look random but they're my phone number. Dr. Yap is dreamy. When he's looking at my molars, it's like he's looking into my soul. If you need me, I'll be down here on the floor. Dying. Hi boys. I'm Tina. My hearttttttttt. My crotch is itchy.

I'm just not sure if I'll be any good on the grill with one free hand. The second time hurt the most. I thought I saw a baby bump. Just when I think I'm out, those cheeks pull me right back in. I'm out of control. Dad, if you believe you're beautiful, you will be. I did. Now my rash smells like bacon. But it doesn't itch anymore. Put it on a t-shirt, Jimmy Jr, I don't want to hear it. Buns...sen. I'll wave at you every day. I've logged over 3,000 fantasy hours on my relationship with Jimmy Jr. You don't just throw that away. My hearttttttttt. I can't tell where your back ends and your butt begins. Dr. Yap is dreamy. When he's looking at my molars, it's like he's looking into my soul.
